How long have you been with IntelliDyne, Shayne?

I just celebrated 11 years of service with IntelliDyne last month.

Can you share a memorable project or accomplishment from your time at IntelliDyne that you’re particularly proud of? What made it stand out for you?

One of my most fulfilling accomplishments at IntelliDyne so far is my role in the construction of the Great Lakes Data Center. Navel Terminology defines a Plank Owner as, “an individual who was a member of the crew of a ship when that ship was placed in commission”. As one of the original builders of the Great Lakes Data Center, I was able to participate in transforming an empty room into a fully functional data center.

A memorable phase of this project centered around my involvement in the planning and installation of critical infrastructure for the data center, such as the Liebert HVAC system, uninterruptible power supply (UPS), servers, network systems, and data backup systems. Coordinating equipment shipments and maintaining detailed documentation proved invaluable to our remote engineering team, ensuring a smooth and efficient build process.

This project provided me with invaluable experience and the opportunity to collaborate with some of IntelliDyne’s most talented professionals. Working alongside these system architects, system engineers, and the project management team was truly rewarding.

Can you share a story about a time when IntelliDyne demonstrated a strong commitment to
corporate social responsibility or community involvement? How did this impact
you and your perception of the company?

A leader’s strength is truly displayed during the hardest of times. I was extremely proud of Mr. Grey and his display of human kindness and the content of his character during those troubling times.  I was, and still am, proud to be an employee of IntelliDyne.
