On Saturday, November 2, IntelliDyne’s Women’s Leadership Group was pleased to host a fundraiser for Women Giving Back, a charitable organization devoted to giving homeless women free quality clothing, and thereby a helping hand, to improve their own lives. The fundraiser was held at a petting farm in Prince William County, Virginia.
Since its inception in January 2019, the Women’s Leadership Group has sponsored quarterly events ranging from 5/10k races, to after-hours social events, to lunches and dinners with internal and external speakers. Seeing creative ways to attract, develop, and retain key talent, Chief Human Resources Officer, Marisa Krafsig said, “IntelliDyne strives to provide a meaningful and enriching work environment to all employees. We saw a great opportunity through the Women’s Leadership Group to invest in our employees through unique opportunities for networking and professional development for our staff across the organization. The Women’s Leadership Group is a key initiative to promote cross company collaboration, workforce readiness and brand awareness.”
The Women’s Leadership Group is open to all employees, family, and friends of the organization. The women and men who belong to the group participate in mentoring, networking and educational opportunities. In addition, the Women’s Leadership Group has aided in the expansion of outreach efforts to hire and retain female veterans and military spouses through collaboration with IntelliDyne’s Military Resource Group.
Employees are encouraged to bring friends and family to events such as the fundraiser for Women Giving Back. “This event was a fun way for us to connect and build relationships while bringing awareness to an organization that is so impactful in supporting women in need of a helping hand,” said Krafsig.
