IntelliDyne’s Military Resource Group (MRG) has been convening virtually over the last year, discussing ways to aid our communities as the pandemic has worn on. Now that COVID-19 vaccines are becoming more readily available, the logistics of distributing resources to the communities that need them has become increasingly challenging.
In recent weeks, leadership in the National Capital Region has called on the National Guard to provide support and oversite for distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine. Logistical aid from the National Guard is crucial as more vaccines are received across the region. Guardsmen will help to relieve volunteers who have been manning COVID-19 testing sites for months.
To support this effort, a small group of MRG members gathered to prepare care packages for the incoming guardsman via our relationship with Blue Star Families. IntelliDyne and the MRG have worked closely with Blue Star Families to provide financial support through donations, prepare care packages for military children, and participate in virtual workshops.
The MRG assembled over 1,050 snack bags for distribution to the Maryland National Guard. “We were so happy to be able to assist this great organization and do our small part in aiding those who are fighting this virus on the front lines,” said MRG Chair and military spouse, Conzuelo Sorg.
