The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) awarded their annual Veteran Service Award to IntelliDyne. The award was given at NVTC’s December 3 Tech 100 party in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
VEI’s Veteran Service Award
The VEI Veteran Service Award honors NVTC member companies who have demonstrated an exceptional level of engagement with the VEI and support for the Veteran community. As VEI Executive Director Steve Jordon stated, “These companies are creating scalable Veteran and military spouse hiring programs and have engaged their employees in supporting transitioning military members as well.”
”IntelliDyne and all our finalists demonstrated the highest level of commitment to hiring Veterans, and they put that commitment into practice with programs and a deep engagement in our regional Veteran and military community,” said Steve Cooker, Executive Vice President of Monster Government Solutions and Co-Chair of the NVTC VEI.
IntelliDyne was selected for a number of reasons, including:
- the focused engagement of IntelliDyne’s talent acquisition team,
- creating unique opportunities to connect with job seeking Veterans and military spouses, and
- being a consistent leader in supporting the larger Veteran and military family community.
About NVTC’s Veterans Employment Initiative
Launched in 2013, the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) connects Veterans and military spouses to employment, internship, apprenticeship and educational opportunities. It also provides support to member companies in their efforts to recruit, hire, train and retain qualified Veteran and military spouse employees. NVTC member companies have hired over 12,000 Vets since 2013.
In addition to IntelliDyne, CACI International, and PenFed were named finalists for the 2018 Veteran Service Award. Finalists were evaluated by an independent panel of judges on their Veteran and military spouse hiring and retention, their participation in the VEI, and their support of other Veteran-related activities in the community. Previous winners of the Veteran Service Award include PRISM Inc. and the MITRE Corporation.
IntelliDyne is a Virginia Values Veterans (V3) certified company.
